Einstein was a Gifted Violinist, Relatively Speaking

Pop CultureViolin

Why do I have so much affection for Albert Einstein? I didn’t know him, obviously, and I can’t begin to grasp the scientific concepts for which he is famous, but I love that he was a regular person in many ways. One of those ways was in his love of music:

“Life without playing music is inconceivable for me,” he declared. “I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music … I get most joy in life out of music.”

National Geographic is getting into the original theatrical content business with a new series called Genius. Their first subject? Einstein of course. Watch Geoffrey Rush as Einstein play the violin. Mozart was the great man’s favorite!
