KDFC SKY Concert with Lara Downes With special guest Denyce Graves At The Bowes Performing Arts Building in San Francisco, 11th floor January 9th, 2025 at 7 PM

Enjoy our next Classical American SKY Concert and conversation and meet the KDFC hosts at our pre-concert wine reception. These are intimate events for 125 people in the stunning 11th floor recital hall in the Bowes Performing Arts Building, the home of Classical California KDFC.

Pianist Lara Downes, Classical California’s evening host and resident artist, is joined by opera star Denyce Graves for our next Classical Americana SKY Concert. In addition to being an Emmy and Grammy Award-winning vocalist, Ms. Graves is a U.S. Global Music Ambassador and a non-profit pioneer through the Denyce Graves Foundation, which promotes artistic excellence in the vocal arts with no racial, physical, or economic limitations. Lara and Denyce will perform music by a range of American composers and discuss advocacy and mentorship in building the future of classical music. Lara will also play some solo piano works. In the meantime, enjoy Lara and Denyce's most recent Amplify episode here!
