We’re excited to announce the 3rd annual KDFC Kids Discovery Day at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, 10 AM to 3 PM on Sunday, March 3, 2019! This fun, free multi-faceted children’s music festival is designed to introduce kids to the joys of live classical music and the fun of making music and art themselves.
Mention “Classical KDFC” when you enter the museum and admission is free!
Catch KDFC hosts Dianne Nicolini, Ray White, Rik Malone, Robin Pressman, and KDFC President Bill Lueth live in action as we broadcast live from the Tech, 9:30 AM to 1 PM.
Live musical performances will run throughout the day, including ensembles from Philharmonia Baroque, Peninsula Symphony, innovative chamber ensemble One Found Sound, and Brazilian music ensemble Grupo Falso Baiano.
Children will also have the opportunity to:
• Visit an instrument petting zoo courtesy of Music in Schools Today
• Create original melodies to be played by professional musicians
• Craft their own instruments
• Try on opera costumes
• Participate in music, story-telling, and singing workshops with teachers from Music for Minors
