This week our Classical Californian is composer Dale Trumbore, whose music the Washington Post has called "devastatingly beautiful." She shares works she’s fallen in love with both as a listener and performer – and describes how listening to music written by friends and colleagues differs from listening to music by those you haven’t met. She also includes a couple of her own works, including a section of She Only Remembers, a ballet piece for piano and dancers, about watching someone you love experiencing memory loss.
