Get to Know the KDFC Morning Show Host, Maggie Clennon Reberg

Pop CultureAnnouncements

Meet Maggie Clennon Reberg, your KDFC Morning Show host

We’re excited to announce that radio host, voice-over artist, and mezzo-soprano, Maggie Clennon Reberg will be joining the KDFC family as the new KDFC Morning Show host, weekdays 6 AM-10 AM, starting Thursday, October 7th!

Get to Know Maggie Clennon Reberg:

I’ve spent the last 6 years at WFMT in Chicago hosting weekend mornings in addition to hosting and producing a wide variety of programs and live performances. I’ve also been lucky enough to enjoy an incredible career on the stage, performing in operas, recitals, and classical theater. I absolutely LOVE live radio; I live for the morning shift. Getting to host the KDFC Morning Show is a dream come true.

I’m originally from the Detroit area and, having worked in and around Chicago for most of my career, I couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter. I love the outdoors, especially cycling and sailing; I am a very bad albeit devoted golfer. I love painting, yoga, and can give an impromptu talk on the novels of Jane Austen and Stephen King; the voyages of Captain James Cook; and all things Harry Potter. I’m also the mother of precisely one opera singer and three cats.

From KDFC President Bill Lueth:

Please join me in welcoming Maggie to the KDFC Family! Her warm and welcoming personality will make her the perfect companion to start your mornings. You can still count on the Morning Show features you know and love. She’ll bring you lots of great classical music–and some classical fun–on the Off-to-School Request at 7:15 AM, The Blind Date Mystery in History at 8:30 AM, and Mozart in the Morning to kick off the workday at 9 AM. Plus at 7:45 AM she’ll help perk up your brain with the Morning Mindbender Quiz.

I also want to thank Jennifer Miller for juggling double duty for nearly two years. Jennifer is based out of our sister station Classical KUSC in Los Angeles and has tirelessly filled in the KDFC Morning Show while we searched for a new permanent host. I can’t thank Jennifer enough. She’s been a joy to work with and a wonderful voice on KDFC. While she’ll be getting some well-deserved time back, you can still hear her on KDFC Saturdays 5 PM – 10 PM.

From Jennifer Miller:

For the last two years, it has been such an honor to join our Bay Area family as the host of the KDFC Morning Show. Through your requests and your emails, I’ve been able to get to know so many of you and I will miss our early hours very much. I’m looking forward to the new adventure of bringing beautiful classical music to you on Saturday evenings. Thank you for making those early weekday hours such a blast and I can’t wait for you to begin your mornings with Maggie!
