The KDFC Morning Show

Hometown: Holyoke, Massachusetts. It’s a town of about 30,000, and I’m the only member of my family to leave.

Other places lived: Berkeley and Oakland

Family: Youngest of three daughters. Married for 16 years, but no kids. (I left that up to my sisters, who came through with seven between them).

Hobbies: Love to cook, hate to clean: Put me out on my deck in the sun with a good book and I’m a happy camper. I work out…because I think I should.

Other interests: Would travel the world if I had the time -- and the money. I’m drawn to the ocean, so I try to spend as much time there as possible. Like to hike…..and share good food and wine.

Favorite books: The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Strange premise, but a
page-turner. Also Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden. Hard to believe a man wrote this book given the subject matter. He did an incredible job.

Favorite Classic Film: Casablanca, hands down.

Favorite Sport: Baseball. I grew up with my mother listening to the Red Sox on the radio. She finally had to give it up because she actually started to get an ulcer. The Red Sox will do that to ya, so I root for local teams to spare my health. I ‘m also a big football fan.

Favorite Composers: Classical would include Chopin, Mozart, and Bach. Then there’s B.B. King, The Beatles, Santana. Also enjoy the music of Frank Sinatra and Big Bands.

Passion for: My husband…and my chocolate lab. I’m just stupid about that dog.

What would I do for a living if not on the air? Uhhhhh…good question.

Best Thing about living in the Bay Area: It just does not get any better than this.
